How To Power An Unpowered Subwoofer

File Recovery Windows XP when it becomes inaccessible after unsuccessful conversion

Many of us are able to install the Windows operating system ourselves because of the excellent help documentation provided by Microsoft. However, sometimes this step can sometimes backfire on the critical files may fail to make the system become inaccessible. A similar problem may occur when you change the file system from FAT32 to NTFS primary partition. In these cases, you must restore the missing files with the Windows XP CD to the hard disk recovery. If the method does not work, then you should use a third party file recovery software to recover inaccessible data.

Suppose you have a Windows XP system with the FAT file system. You have just Convert FAT to NTFS file system using the "convert drive: / fs: ntfs" command. However, when you boot the system after the conversion will not start. The following error message appears in this case:

"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: System32 \\ Drivers \\ ntfs.sys"

Cause:

The cause of this possible problem could be a of the following reasons:

Ntfs.sys file is missing after converting FAT-NTFS file
Ntfs.sys corrupted after converting FAT to NTFS.

Resolution: Restore the missing file

Ntfs.sys will allow you to overcome this problem. This could be done using the following steps:

Restart the system after you insert the Windows XP CD-ROM.
Press R when the 'Welcome to Setup' screen appears to select the 'To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R' option.
At the command prompt type the following commands to rename the existing file Ntfs.sys. Press Enter after each command: cd
\\ windows \\ system32 \\ drivers ren ntfs.sys

Ntfs.old
Type the following command and press Enter to copy the file to your hard disk Ntfs.sys system:
copy cd: \\ i386 \\ ntfs.sys drive: \\ windows \\ system32 \\ drivers
Type 'Quit', after removing the Windows XP CD and press Enter to exit the Recovery Console.
Restart the system.

If you still find the same error message even after running the method, then you should try to recover data files with the help of an efficient third-party data recovery software. These utilities File Recovery have rich user interface that helps you recover all your data without any difficulty.
