for the release date?
The release date is still unknown ... in the sense that the Dev Team does not want to give an exact date for doing the end of "yellowsn0w" (program for unlocking the Iphone sim), which after announcing the date, has presented problemini, and is due out however, to meet the date.
This means that it might be available from tomorrow (but do not count too), or at most within Wednesday (for some as it will take 2 settimene !)... simply because they are creating the program to "inject" simply exploits in our iPod without the need for technical expertise.

As I said from the Dev-Team we have no (private), saying only that they are working to create this "easy release" to release it as soon as possible, but also want the release not cause problems to anyone (or few people as possible).
I also remember that unlike a wrong information given at the beginning, the Jailbreak WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR THAT FOR THE 2.1.1 FIRMWARE 2.2.
If you did the downgrade, do not be afraid to update again just connect the iPod to iTunes without any problems and update it again:).
For now, though you do nothing!
