definitive guide to jailbreak ipod touch 2G

For those who have already run the jailbreak tethered in the past and do not want to format losing everything all the data:

Your ipod has a white screen, at this point everything is going the right way, iTunes will open an ipod in recovery mode, click OK, then pressing shift on your keyboard (the key to make capitalization below to enter) click with the right mouse button to "Restore" in iTunes.

Now select the file "Untethered2.2.1" contained in the zip you have downloaded, and we await the end of the process.

At the end of the process will start your ipod touch normally and all your applications, music, photos and settings that you had, just that from now on, when switching off and on again, no longer need to connect PCs to boot!

Everything is safe and does not charge irreversible changes but only changes on memory "write", then a simple restore everything as good as factory.

To restore the original firmware that you just connect your iPod to your PC, start iTuens, and click the Reset button.

Guide:
1 . Recalling that one must start with the original firmware 2.2.1, install the application QuickFreedom in your PC and connect the iPod with the cable.

2 . Launch the application and click button sul'unico available, or the big one central reading "Jailbreak."

. This will open a new browser window, to monitor the requirements. The first thing that you must have installed on your PC files LIBSUB. To do this there is no need to click on the button at the "Install libusb". This will open the classic screen after installation and will run a test. Important Note: Only and I repeat ONLY if you are Windows Vista users, you must start the executable LIBSUB in compatibility mode with XP, it will not work. To do this, right click the mouse on the file. "Exe", then click Properties> Compatibility> Tick the words "Run in compatibility mode" and select "XP Service Pack 2".
